Famous for its literary festival and many bookshops, the town of Hay-on-Wye is just 30 mins away - we’d definitely recommend making a trip to see its quirky mix of independent shops, cafes and bookshops. For the more energetic, Hay Bluff offers stunning views and great walking. We are the perfect base for cycling or walking in the Black Mountains and, slightly further afield, the Brecon Beacons. We wanted to create something that our own family could use into the future - a decision that heavily influenced the planning and design. We’ve combined modern interiors with a warm, rustic feel, providing a perfect location for friends, family and guests. Although situated next to our farmhouse, The Granary is completely independent, with its own fenced garden, parking and private entrance.&nbsp; The farm here at Lower Lulham has been in the family for three generations. It has seen a number of different enterprises over the years, from growing brussels sprouts and runner beans to the cider apple orchards and blackcurrant fields that are here today. We are proud suppliers of apples to Bulmers and blackcurrants to Ribena. Our business, Certainly Wood, is the largest kiln-dried firewood producer in the UK and is run and managed from the farm.
