“The house is beautifully curated and so comfortable. Everything from the furniture to the linens are perfect. The attention to detail for everything you’d need to have a fabulous and relaxing stay was incredible. The welcome hamper was extensive and delicious. All of the provisions throughout the house (soap, bath salts etc) were really fabulous. We left feeling recharged and relaxed thanks to all the thoughtful touches by our hosts. The area is stunning with so much to see and do. Amazing.”

“Thank you for a wonderful week. We have loved everything about the granary, from the gorgeous decor, welcome treats, and gorgeous garden and surroundings. George and Anna are very welcoming hosts, and we found all of your workers were friendly and smiled and waved if they saw us. We loved walking over your land, and saw lots of bird life; herons, kingfishers etc, and spent a long time watching a sparrowhawk devour a pigeon out of the bedroom window! We saw the red kites being fed near Rhayader, a must for bird lovers - a very special experience. We would love to return to this amazing holiday let, but we are off to look at a Sprocker puppy this weekend and I suspect that may win our hearts. But do let us know if you open the Granary to four legged friends! Thanks again, we will be recommending the Granary. And thank you for the wood tour and wood!”

“An amazing holiday cottage in an incredible setting. The cottage itself is beautiful, everything you could want or need is provided. We loved the little touches, from the toiletries from local makers, the fresh flowers and the local produce in the welcome hamper - really luxurious. The farm is beautiful, you are allowed to walk and explore, we loved the lake, the blackcurrant fields and lakes. The owners are so friendly and we had some lovely chats. 100% recommend. We will be back!“

“A beautiful location, so much to see and do. We need to return for some more walking! The granary was the perfect base, beautifully equipped and a pleasure to be in. We did all our own cooking and the kitchen was excellent. The walking routes and books in the bookcase very much enjoyed.”

“Thank you for giving us a lovely home for the week and being such lovely, welcoming hosts. This place is Anna’s pride and joy and it really shows! From the welcome basket on arrival, to the little touches throughout and Anna & George being there if we needed anything. All of this made our stay perfect. 7 days just didn’t feel long enough. We will definitely be coming back.”

“Just spent a week at the Granary, self catering at it’s very best! Everything you need in a luxurious, warm, beautifully converted Barn. Great location, between us all we walked for miles, golfed locally and rested well! Made to feel so welcome by Anna and George, enjoyed seeing their lovely farm in Autumn colours, we will definitely be back for another stay, thank you so much.”

“A lovely week in The Granary – batteries now recharged after rest and relaxation. We couldn’t fault the area either and enjoyed lots of lovely walks in the Wye Valley and Brecon Beacons. Really helpful guides in the property made planning days out a joy and it was always lovely to return to the cosy barn to rustle up dinner using local produce. A perfect staycation!”

“An absolutely wonderful week in this very special place. Everything we could wish for and every detail thought through and provided. So lovely for both of you to take time to meet and greet us and to be given the freedom to wander the farm was very special. An idyllic location for exploring this beautiful county. As others, we are planning our return in the spring!”

“A perfect country getaway at the beautiful Granary. As soon as we arrived we were blown away by the homely, chic set-up. Walking out into the garden overlooking a fabulous lily pond and horses grazing in the background. We will 100% be returning. One of my favourite holidays to date.”

“We (Inc 2 kids) had the most wonderful 2 weeks at the Granary over August. The property is absolutely beautiful and had everything we needed! Complete home from home... Although way nice than my home!! We all thoroughly enjoyed how rural the property is. Although it's on a working farm, we weren't bothered by noise at all. Being able to see wide open countryside and nature from the garden was just we all needed. Recommend Drover bike hire, owl & rare breed farm and Hampton Court for kids.”
Becky, 13th August 2021
“George and Anna were outstanding hosts and kept an eye on us without being over bearing. The property was excellent it offered nearly everything we needed and was relaxed and spacious. The kitchen was easy to use and move around as was the shower. Beds were also very comfortable an important point when choosing a holiday break. A nice touch is that there is an electric car charging point. There has obviously been a lot of thought put into this property which with the views was very relaxing.”

“A beautiful converted barn with a lovely and tasteful interior and all of the home comforts that you could want. The views from the garden and beyond were both stunning and relaxing and such a joy to watch the horses in the fields and all of the different birds. If youre looking for a relaxing break but also enjoy the great outdoors, The Granery is the perfect staycation.”

“The Granary has been decorated to an incredibly high standard and is immaculate. We had everything we needed - including a generous welcome basket of goodies - and the hosts were very warm and welcoming. We even got a personal tour of the farm - which we all found inspiring. We kept coming home early from our days out just so that we could enjoy the outlook from the garden complete with sunsets, house martins, woodpeckers, ducks - and friendly visits from Daisy the dog. Definitely will return!”

“The Granary is a lovely place to spend your holiday, very high specification and lovely touches as well. Beautiful gardens to look at with lake and wildlife it brings in, herons, woodpeckers and more. George and Anna were very welcoming, helpful and friendly. Lovely walks around the farm saying hello to some of their horses in the evening. Great location to explore Hereford and the beautiful surrounding countryside!”

“I highly recommend The Granary. As soon as I walked in, I felt at home. The whole interior has been done to a very high specification with quality interiors and fittings, whilst feeling cosy and welcoming. I could spend hours in the kitchen / dining room or alternatively in the large bath using the luxury bath products. The whole place was absolutely immaculate. It was a great location for walking or cycling. The owners, Anna and George, were very friendly and helpful.”

“Spent the last week of April staying at the Granary with my husband. Cannot fault it. Beautifully presented, spotlessly clean, fantastically equipped. They have anticipated your every need. It is on a working farm but we didnt find that to be a problem at all. The owners were around but certainly not intrusive. Great location for exploring Herefordshire. Such a beautiful part of the UK. Loved it so much, we are returning next week!!!”

“We were the first guests to stay in The Granary, and it’s no exaggeration to say it was amazing from start to finish. Anna and George are wonderful hosts: kind, receptive and self aware (they live in the farm house opposite but we never felt our privacy compromised). The communication prior to our stay was great – in one conversation I mentioned that I hate the cold, and when we arrived the underfloor heating was on full blast. On arrival, we were struck by how stunning the cottage and gardens were (against the orchards and hills of the idyllic Herefordshire countryside, it’s even prettier than in the photos). You can tell that the place has been built and decorated with the utmost love and care; the furnishings are a combination of lovely textures and rich, elegant colours. But there were other thoughtful, unexpected touches: fresh bread and honey waiting on the kitchen table; bath salts next to the large, standalone tub; every kitchen appliance you could dream of; and a brand new BBQ on the patio. My five year old appreciated the books Anna had left in ‘her bedroom’. She was even more delighted when she discovered Daisy, the friendly family dog, playing in the garden. In fact, you’re surrounded by nature and animals here – from ducks in the lake overlooking the cottage and horses in the adjacent paddock, to the plethora of farms within easy reach. The highlight of our stay was the chance to enjoy local beef and other fresh produce daily (the farm shop in the next village is particularly good, a literal ‘farm to table’ experience). The kitchen is huge and you won’t get bored of cooking, but if you fancy venturing out there are so many quaint pubs and good restaurants nearby. The Granary reminded me of one of The Pig hotels, with the benefit of a more personal experience and obviously plenty more space. We loved it so much, we’re thinking of returning next year.”
